Geotextiles are polypropylene or polyester mats from the group of synthetic materials, their fibres are arranged in a disordered manner, which gives it excellent properties and makes it an exceptionally valuable material in many areas of gardening and construction industry. Its most important advantages include advanced filtration, drainage and separation capabilities.
Geotextiles are characterized by high resistance to stretching and, as well as for tearing and puncture – however, this largely depends on the thickness of the geotextile (expressed in g/m2). Geotextiles are distinguished by different mechanical strength, porosity and water permeability – depending on type of fibres used (PP, PES) and processing process (calendering).
By using geotextiles, a significant extension of the life of our structures, increased strength and much better drainage compared to traditional methods are achieved.
